CES - MATLAB in the Middle East

Cloud and Container Integrations of Industrial IoT Applications

23 23 people viewed this event.
Overview

Industrial IoT has brought the rise of connected devices that stream information and optimize operational behavior over the course of a device’s lifetime. MATLAB® and Simulink® can help you design, prototype, and deploy IoT applications such as predictive maintenance, operations optimization, supervisory control, and more.

Discover how to run MATLAB® analytics in the Cloud to speed up computation and to deploy algorithms in a production environment. Watch a demonstration of a typical workflow through which you can access and preprocess data, develop predictive models, and integrate your analytics using common enterprise platforms. The presentation also covers reference architectures that can be used to integrate with Microsoft® Azure®, AWS®, and Kubernetes® and shows how to integrate with operational systems such as Kafka, MQTT.

Highlights
  • Industrial IoT applications: from idea to production in 30 minutes
  • End-to-end workflow for development and deployment of streaming applications with MATLAB
  • Streamline development, collaboration and integration of the developed applications
About the Presenters

Tim Choo leads the product management team for MATLAB Compiler, MATLAB Compiler SDK, MATLAB Web App Server, and MATLAB Production Server. He focuses on application deployment, cloud, containerization, and DevOps. Prior to joining MathWorks, he spent two decades at IBM as a software engineer, systems engineer, consultant, architect, and product marketer.

Dmitry Samarkanov is a Senior Application Engineer at MathWorks in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. He helps organizations assess and deploy MATLAB and Simulink applications from desktop through to cloud platforms. Dmitry has more than 10 years of hands-on experience developing cloud native solutions. Prior to joining MathWorks, he architected and deployed web-based cloud applications on to highly complex software systems at ASML. Dmitry holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and a master’s degree in Business Intelligence.

Sunil Unnikrishan is a Principal Consultant at MathWorks in the Netherlands, with over 20 years of experience in problem solving. With a Ph.D. in Systems and Control, he specializes in solving complex control, modeling, and optimization problems using MATLAB and deploying these solutions to cloud and edge platforms. Sunil is passionate about enabling customers to develop scalable MATLAB software and adopt DevOps practices, ensuring their projects are both innovative and efficient.
