phased array Toolbox
What is the phased array system toolbox?
Phased Array System Toolbox offers algorithms and apps in MATLAB and Simulink for the design and simulation of sensor array and beamforming systems across various applications, including wireless communication, radar, sonar, and acoustics. It enables modeling and analysis of both active and passive arrays, such as subarrays and those with complex geometries. Additionally, the Phased Array toolbox allows you to generate C code from its functions.
For 5G, LTE cellular, SATCOM, and WLAN systems, the toolbox supports the design of multibeam and electronically steerable antennas. It includes algorithms for simulating hybrid and full digital beamforming architectures, particularly for massive MIMO and millimeter-wave systems. You can also simulate multipath fading environments to evaluate the performance of beamforming antenna arrays.
In radar, sonar, and acoustic system design, the toolbox provides algorithms for beamforming, space-time adaptive processing (STAP), direction of arrival (DOA) estimation, matched filtering, and image formation. It also includes continuous and pulsed waveforms, which can be used to generate test signals for simulations, as well as simulate target echoes and interference.
