RF PCB Toolbox
RF PCB Toolbox enables design, analysis, and visualization of high-speed and RF multi-layer PCBs. It supports components like traces, bends, and vias, and models coupling, dispersion, and parasitic effects. The toolbox provides models for filters, couplers, and matching networks, and supports Gerber file generation. It integrates with ODB++, Cadence®, Mentor Expedition, Altium®, and Zuken for signal integrity analysis of high-speed PCB layouts.
RF Components
Design on-board filters, matching networks, couplers, splitters, and traces for RF and mmWave frequencies. Use behavioral models for quick analysis of traces, inductors, and capacitors.
PCB Design
Create PCB layouts using interconnects like traces, bends, curves, and mitered edges. Combine parameterized shapes with Boolean operations to generate new planar geometries, and cascade components to quickly design complex PCBs.
EM Analysis
Use the method of moments or behavioral models to analyze PCB layouts, computing S-parameters, impedance, and charge and current distribution. Mesh the PCB surface into triangles and the volume into tetrahedra for a full-wave solution.
Materials
Design PCBs using various dielectric and metal materials by selecting from a catalog or specifying custom values for thickness, conductivity, permittivity, and loss tangent.
PCB Fabrication
Generate Gerber files for PCB fabrication, representing circuit board objects like copper traces, vias, pads, solder masks, and silkscreen images for manufacturers.
Signal Integrity
Analyze crosstalk and optimize on-board routing to reduce noise and coupling using Signal Integrity Toolbox. Import PCB databases and analyze multi-board designs for improved performance.
