Computer Vision video series

Computer vision - image processing

AI powered Computer Vision with MATLAB

Computer Vision is an interdisciplinary scientific field that deals with how computers can gain high-level understanding from digital images or videos. From the perspective of engineering, it seeks to understand & automate task that the human visual system can do. In the video series, we will explore Computer Vision Toolbox algorithms, functions and apps for designing and testing computer vision  systems for feature detection, extraction and matching. In addition, we will also explore how to train customised computer vision AI models using deep learning and machine learning algorithms and perform transfer learning with pre-trained Deep Learning models

Part 1 Image Processing

Part 2 Morphology & Segmentation

Part 3 Object Detection & Tracking

Part 4 Deep Learning Workflow, Summary & further learning

About the Presenter

Flavio Pol is the Application Engineering Manager at CES, the official partner of MathWorks in the Middle East. Flavio has more than 8 years of experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and is an active researcher on the topic at the University of São Paulo, the largest and most prestigious university in Brazil and indeed Latin America. Flavio has worked extensively with a variety of Machine Learning and Deep Learning applications such as Fault Diagnostics using Classification Models and Remaining Useful Life (RUL) Estimation for Predictive Maintenance. Flavio has lately been participating in a proprietary advanced research subject for the national oil company of Brazil.
