Overview

One of the greatest challenges we are faced with today is climate change. It is well acknowledged that environmental challenges require joint action to find an effective solution.

Disruptive climate solutions for technology, policy, finance, business models, leadership and capacity building are key to accelerate low-emission and climate-resilient development. Startups that recognize the importance of climate action are at the forefront of climate tech innovation. Through transformative technology and digital disruption, startups can be agile in addressing the climate crisis. Aside from investments being made in sustainable mobility and energy production, the ecosystem also sees startups emerge with novel technologies in smart agriculture, waste management and environmental and natural resources. Climate tech startups have the potential for disruptive development, but as they scale from regional to global, more help is needed in mentorship, talent management, regulatory compliance, scaling, and implementation.

To explore this and other topics, we are bringing together a panel with various players in the ecosystem – Governmental bodies, Startups, Accelerators supporting climate tech startups and solution providers to deliberate on innovation happening in this field.

The discussion would cover topics including

  • The role of governments in building and sustaining innovation in the space
  • The role of large corporates in nurturing climate tech innovations
  • Focus of accelerators in providing a congenial environment to the startups in the space
  • The role of technology providers in helping accelerate the development of these technologies
  • Challenges and barriers faced by climate tech startups

Join us in this panel discussion where leaders who work with startups, researchers, corporations, startups themselves and policymakers working towards climate action discuss the role of innovation in tackling climate change.
