AI powered Computer Vision

What is Computer vision

CES is delighted to partner with Dr Wael Ziadat, Chair of SPE DUPTS and Managing Director of R&D at Weatherford Saudi Arabia for the webinar “AI powered Computer Vision”

Date: April 6th 11am KSA / 12 noon GST

Outline: Computer Vision is an interdisciplinary scientific field that deals with how computers can gain high-level understanding from digital images or videos. From the perspective of engineering, it seeks to understand & automate tasks that the human visual system can do. In this webinar we will explore Computer Vision Toolbox algorithms, functions, and apps for designing and testing computer vision systems for feature detection, extraction, and matching. In addition, we will also explore how to train customized computer vision AI models using deep learning and machine learning algorithms and perform transfer learning with pre-trained Deep Learning models.

About the Presenter: Flavio Pol is the Application Engineering Manager at CES, the official partner of MathWorks in the Middle East. Flavio has more than 8 years of experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and is an active researcher on the topic at the University of Sao Paulo, the largest and most prestigious university in Brazil and Latin America. Flavio has worked extensively with a variety of Machine Learning and Deep Learning applications such as Fault Diagnostics using Classification Models and Remaining Useful Life (RUL) Estimation for Predictive Maintenance. Flavio has lately been participating in a proprietary advanced research subject for the national oil company of Brazil.
