MATLAB online: how to access MATLAB from web browser anywhere

What is MATLAB online?

MATLAB Online brings MATLAB and Simulink to the cloud, allowing you to work directly from your web browser—no installation required.

MATLAB Online supports integration with cloud storage and enables real-time project collaboration.

With features like hardware connectivity and scalable computing power, it offers a flexible and mobile-friendly environment to boost your productivity.

Access MATLAB in Your Browser

Seamlessly Access and Manage Your Files

Integrate with Hardware Devices

Run the most up-to-date releases of MATLAB, Simulink, and supported toolboxes* right from your browser—no installation, configuration, or downloads required. You’ll have access to multiple virtual CPUs and 16GB of RAM, with performance that can scale based on demand. MATLAB Drive offers 5GB of storage at no cost, or 20GB with a licensed account.

MATLAB Online makes it easy to stay connected to your essential files and projects. Store and access data through MATLAB Drive or Microsoft OneDrive™, and keep everything in sync with your desktop using MATLAB Connector. You can also manage datasets via Amazon S3™ and collaborate by sharing your work on platforms like GitHub® and File Exchange.

Interact with real-world data by connecting to hardware through MATLAB. Utilize mobile device sensors using MATLAB Mobile on Android® or iOS, and link to IoT systems through ThingSpeak. You can also interface with platforms like Arduino® and Raspberry Pi®, or use webcams to perform live video and image analysis.

Collaborate by sharing your projects

Expand to AWS Clusters

Easily share MATLAB files by creating links that open content from GitHub repositories and MathWorks File Exchange right within MATLAB Online. Enhance collaboration with Focused View, which lets you display MATLAB Apps and Live Scripts in full-screen mode—showcasing your shared work while minimizing distractions from other desktop elements.

Easily scale your MATLAB Online workflows to Amazon EC2® using Parallel Computing Toolbox and MATLAB Parallel Server. Manage AWS® cloud clusters directly within MATLAB Online through MathWorks Cloud Center, enabling flexible resource allocation and scalable computing power on AWS infrastructure.
